‘Think equal, build smart, innovate for change’

The official UN theme for the International Women’s Day this year could easily pass as a Cafemnee motto. As artists, we are constantly innovating. We reinvent ourselves in our music, we shape the world around us with our creativity and the power of our expression. When we do so together, as equals, we become a formidable force, one capable to challenge every preconception and overcome every obstacle. Even if sometimes it is no apparent, and the circumstances seem as if there was too much yet to be done, we are making things different for us, our sisters and daughters, and also for the men in our lives.

In this special day, we want to thank all our members for their passion, dedication and the joy they bring to our network. The strength with which each one works towards our dreams is what makes our voices (and instruments!) heard, and Cafemnee would be nothing without the marvelous women that make part of it.

Happy International Women’s Day!

“At a time when innovation is dominant, shaping and changing the way people live in every part of the world, we have to be intentional about its use to positively impact the lives of women and girls. That means making sure they are not only consumers of innovation, but take their place as innovators.”
